Nicola has been recognised as a Rising Star in the 2024 Doyle’s rankings.

Nicola initially joined Sayer Jones in May 2018 as a paralegal. She was admitted to practice in April 2019 in the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia and has practised exclusively in Family Law.

Nicola completed her Bachelor of Laws with honours and Bachelor of Creative Industries majoring in entertainment with distinction at the Queensland University of Technology. After moving to Melbourne in 2018, Nicola completed a clerkship with a litigation and dispute resolution team in a reputable inner-city firm where she gained valuable experience in commercial litigation and negotiation. Nicola also has experience in property law, having worked in a Brisbane-based property and commercial law firm for 12 months prior to her move to Melbourne. 

As an emerging lawyer, Nicola has assisted on many high conflict parenting and property matters. She has worked on files involving complex issues such as parental alienation and international relocation. Her background allows her to assist on multipart property matters and better understand the array of commercial issues which often arise in Family Law matters.

Nicola is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Law Institute of Victoria; the Law Institute of Victoria; Victorian Women Lawyers; and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia. She has volunteered at the Dispute Resolution Centre in Brisbane and has international work experience in the Creative Industries.
